Time to say thank you
And so we have reached the end of the school year once again. My daughter, Krista, will be finishing off Grade 1 within the next couple of days. She really had an awesome teacher.
We could not have asked for a better teacher for her for Grade 1 to help her get used to the idea of school.
Her teacher, Mrs. Glibbery, to me was the ideal combination of strict enough(to not let the Grade 1’s walk all over her) and softness/kindness. So I really wanted to say a very special thank you to her. I got this idea of doing an “exit interview’ with Krista to show her our thanks and appreciation. I have thus created a printable sheet for Krista to fill out and we will hand to Mrs. G on the last school day for this year. In addition to that, I have created a framable picture for her too.
You, my readers, get these items for free. I have created two variations of the exit interview in different colours so you can choose which one you like best.
Teachers matter
Teachers are such special beings, very often they are underpaid and under-valued in society. My own mother was a Grade 1 teacher so I know what goes into teaching those little ones. My mom brought work home all the time. She used to work evenings and weekends. Marking, putting lessons together and creating lesson material. And she did it all with love.
And let’s not even start on the patience required for teaching! Oh, how I sometimes want to throttle my daughter while trying to help her with homework. Yes, patience is NOT my strong point. Now imagine being a teacher and you have to teach and help countless children grow and develop. I would need extra help from above indeed! Good teachers definitely are a gift from God.
I wish I could have done one of these “exit interviews” /teacher appreciation questionnaires for a few of my teachers. I’m sure they would’ve appreciated it.
Let’s show our teachers how much we appreciate them. These are the two designs. These print on normal A4 paper.

Then as an extra bonus, I am also including a free printable wall art ” Teaching is a work of heart.” I suggest you print it on A3 semi-card stock paper and frame it like that. It will have some white space around it which adds to the beauty of the design.
